Synopsis

Marcus Reed, a former Marine turned school custodian haunted by a past desertion, clocks in for another graveyard shift at Washington High. When a hijacked prison bus slams through the gates during a storm, chaos erupts and the entire student body is trapped. Marcus, armed only with a mop handle and his instincts, barricades the cafeteria and turns the building into a fortress. As the escaped killers hunt for phones, keys, and hostages, Marcus rallies a handful of skeptical teens and overworked teachers. Flashbacks reveal the night he once ran from a firefight; tonight he will not repeat that mistake. The night descends into brutal close-quarters combat through locker-lined hallways and flooded basements. By dawn, SWAT arrives to find Marcus bloodied but standing at the front doors, students alive behind him. His redemption is complete, but the city will never forget the janitor who stayed when everyone else ran.

INT. WASHINGTON HIGH - JANITOR'S CLOSET - NIGHT

Rain hammers the windows. MARCUS REED, 42, broad-shouldered, janitor blues stained with bleach, wipes down a mop sink. A cheap radio crackles sports scores.

Suddenly: SCREECHING tires, METAL crunch, distant SIRENS. Marcus freezes.

MARCUS
Storm's early.

He steps into the dark hallway. Red emergency lights strobe. Through the glass doors he sees a mangled prison bus embedded in the flagpole, inmates pouring out.

MARCUS (cont'd)
Lock it down. Now.

He sprints, keys jangling, toward the main office as the first distant SCREAMS echo.
