Synopsis

His body failing, Kai forges uneasy alliances with street hackers and rogue AIs while unleashing hyper-violent wuxia techniques against augmented assassins. As the city burns, Kai must decide whether to die a relic or become the new myth that reboots humanity's soul. His quest spirals from rain-drenched alley duels to orbital boardrooms, each kill revealing the corp's plan to erase all organic martial lineages in favor of total synthetic control. Betrayals mount as former disciples return as chrome nightmares, forcing Kai to weaponize his own mortality in one final, exquisitely brutal stand.
The story
In rain-lashed Shanghai, 72-year-old wuxia master Shen Kai discovers his hidden clan slaughtered by Ascendant Corp hit squads, his own body secretly laced with experimental neural blades that are killing him.
