Synopsis

In the shattered continent of Amia, dragons are not beasts but living extinctions that scourge civilization every few centuries. Vorthak the Unending has risen once more, its wings blotting the sun as cities crumble to ash. A disgraced cartographer named Soren, marked by the dragon's last awakening, discovers ancient glyphs suggesting the resets can be broken if the right sacrifice is made. Allied with a fire-priestess who channels the dragon's own memories and a young thief who stole a scale that grants brief immunity, Soren crosses burning wastelands and sunken libraries. They must reach the First Cradle before Vorthak completes its purge, confronting rival factions who believe the only salvation is to hasten the next age. As the dragon's storm closes in, Soren realizes the true cost: the ritual demands the erasure of all living memory of the present world. With the last cities falling, he must choose between preserving what remains or gambling everything on an uncertain rebirth.

EXT. FLOATING CITY OF LIR - DAWN

The marble spires of Lir drift above endless clouds. Bells toll in panic. Citizens point skyward.

A shadow the size of a mountain eclipses the sun. VORTHAK descends, scales glowing like molten iron, wings shattering the air.

SOREN VALE (30s, scarred) clutches a glowing map. He stares upward, horrified.

SOREN
Not again. Not yet.

The dragon inhales. Fire erupts in a river of white. Entire districts vaporize. People scream and age to dust mid-run.

MIRA (O.S.)
Run, cartographer! The age ends now!

Soren turns as the platform beneath him cracks. He leaps onto a plummeting shard of stone, the dragon's roar shaking the heavens.

Why now

Audiences crave stories of inevitable collapse and defiant rebirth as climate anxiety and historical amnesia collide; Vorthak externalizes our fear that progress is always temporary and demands we confront what we are willing to forget to survive.
