Synopsis
Alex Kane drives. Nights bleed into highways as he ferries criminals through rain-slick streets, obeying one rule: never get involved. When a routine pickup leaves a rookie detective bleeding in his passenger seat and a flash drive of cartel secrets in his glovebox, the code shatters. Suddenly every scanner in the city is hunting the black Dodge. Alex must outrun armored SUVs, corrupt task forces, and his own buried past while the young detective pushes him toward a final, impossible choice: deliver the evidence or disappear forever into the dark. Dawn breaks over the collapsed overpass where the last chase converges. In a storm of burning rubber and gunfire, Alex decides whether the road ends in escape or sacrifice.
The story
Alex Kane cruises the midnight sprawl, silent behind the wheel, until a botched handoff leaves Detective Lena Ruiz dying beside him and cartel secrets in his car. A city-wide net closes as his rule of non-involvement cracks.
Alex and Lena tear across freeways and underpasses, dodging hit teams and dirty cops while the flash drive’s contents expose a conspiracy that reaches city hall. Trust fractures as Lena’s idealism clashes with Alex’s lethal pragmatism.
At the ruined interchange, Alex rigs his car for one final run. In a blaze of collisions and revelations, he forces the cartel’s ledger into the open, choosing to shield Lena rather than vanish, then drives into the rising sun alone.
