Synopsis

Every dusk Elias Voss walks the same six blocks of his shuttered coastal town, headphones in, eyes down. One evening a stranger nods and says his wife's favorite phrase. The next night another recalls their first kiss on the pier. Elias's grief fractures into paranoia as the strolls lengthen and the encounters multiply. His investigation drags him into abandoned piers, old voicemail recordings, and a detective who insists Elias was the last person seen with his wife the night she vanished. Each new detail suggests he may have erased his own guilt. The town itself begins to feel scripted, every lamppost timed to his footsteps. As the final stroll approaches midnight, Elias must decide whether to keep walking toward the truth or stop before the truth stops him.

The story

Act I

Elias's quiet routine is shattered when two strangers on his route mention intimate details only his late wife knew; his therapist urges him to ignore it while a local detective begins asking questions about the night she disappeared.

Act II

Elias retraces his wife's final hours, discovering doctored footage and neighbors who claim he was seen arguing with her; hallucinations blend with real threats as the town turns hostile and the detective closes in.

Act III

On the longest night of the year Elias reaches the pier where everything began, confronting the final stranger who holds the missing piece; the truth rewrites his identity and ends with a single, irreversible choice under the streetlights.

EXT. QUIET COASTAL STREET - DUSK

Streetlights flicker on one by one. ELIAS VOSS (42), headphones in, collar up, walks the cracked sidewalk with military precision. A light rain falls.

He passes a closed laundromat. A HOMELESS MAN on a bench looks up.

HOMELESS MAN
She always liked the blue coat on you.

Elias freezes. The man is already looking away, humming. Elias rips out his headphones, spins, but the bench is empty.

He checks his phone. No signal. The next lamppost ahead clicks on, revealing a WOMAN in a red scarf standing beneath it. She smiles like she knows him.

WOMAN
Don't stop now, Elias. We're almost to the pier.

Elias bolts forward. The rain turns to static. His footsteps echo louder than they should. Another light clicks on. The pier appears at the end of the block, impossibly close.
