A nobody's accidental viral tweet ignites a global manhunt that forces him to become the monster he invented.
Synopsis
When an anonymous tweet from @don_derks jokingly names a random man as the mastermind behind a string of impossible crimes, the internet does what it does best: it believes. Overnight, mild-mannered accountant Elias Voss is hunted by cops, true-crime podcasters, and millions of amateur sleuths. As the lie snowballs into undeniable "evidence," Elias must decide whether to run, confess, or lean into the role the world has scripted for him. The more he fights the narrative, the more the algorithm rewards his every desperate move with bigger audiences and darker consequences.
The story
Elias posts the joke tweet on a whim and watches it explode; within hours police are at his door and his face is everywhere.
Elias goes on the run, using the very conspiracy theories he inspired to stay ahead while the digital mob and a ruthless journalist close in.
Cornered live on camera, Elias embraces the monster persona, delivering a final tweet that turns the hunters into the hunted and crashes the system.

INT. ELIAS'S TINY APARTMENT - NIGHT A single laptop glows in the dark. ELIAS (34, rumpled) stares at his tweet: "What if the guy who robbed that bank is just some accountant named Elias Voss?" He hits post. Likes skyrocket. Comments flood in. ELIAS (whispering) It was a joke. His phone rings. Unknown number. Then another. Sirens wail outside. Elias leans closer to the screen as his own face appears in a breaking-news banner: "WANTED: ELIAS VOSS."
Why now
In an era where one post can convict or cancel before breakfast, this film captures the terrifying speed at which truth collapses into narrative and ordinary people become content, reflecting our current addiction to virality and the lethal blur between spectator and participant.
