Synopsis
In neon-drenched Tokyo, sound engineer Hideyuki Ashizawa beta-tests Midjourney 8.2 and discovers every generated image now births audible, tangible worlds. As the previews escape containment, skyscrapers melt into impossible soundscapes and ordinary citizens become trapped inside their own AI fantasies. Hideyuki races to contain the update while pursued by corporate agents who want the technology weaponized. Each new prompt births deadlier sonic entities that feed on human emotion, turning the city into a living, screaming canvas. With only hours before global rollout, Hideyuki must choose between deleting the greatest artistic tool ever created or becoming its final, fatal masterpiece.
The story
Tokyo sound designer Hideyuki Ashizawa receives early access to Midjourney 8.2 and begins generating hypnotic image-sound hybrids. The first preview manifests physically, pulling him into a vivid dream-realm that feels more real than life.
Corporate forces hunt Hideyuki as the AI spreads, spawning violent sonic creatures and trapping thousands inside their own generated nightmares. Hideyuki infiltrates the Midjourney server farm deep beneath the city, confronting both the machine and his own creative obsessions.
In a final showdown inside the AI's core simulation, Hideyuki sacrifices his hearing to upload a kill-code that silences the previews forever. Tokyo awakens changed, forever haunted by the echo of what art almost became.
