INT. MAX'S BEDROOM - NIGHT Rain lashes the window. Ten-year-old MAX sits on the floor drawing a fluffy cloud creature. A soft GLOW pulses outside. He peeks through the blinds. A pink ball of living fluff hovers above the lawn, humming a tiny tune. Max opens the window. MR FLUFFNUFF (soft, rhyming voice) Hello, lonely boy. Want a friend? Max stares, eyes wide. The fluff drifts inside, leaving a trail of sparkles. MAX Are you... real? MR FLUFFNUFF Real enough to grant one wish. Make it count. Max grins. The room fills with floating toys.
