Synopsis
In the sterile corridors of a Tokyo high-rise, Hiroshi, a mid-level architect drowning in routine, first glimpses the girl on the sixth-floor landing. She never speaks, never moves, yet each night she waits, her presence eroding the walls he built after his fiancée vanished years ago. As Hiroshi’s life unravels, the girl begins appearing in impossible places, guiding him toward fragments of a past he refuses to remember. Friends dismiss her as hallucination until a chilling discovery links her to the building’s sealed history and his own buried guilt. The final ascent reveals the truth: she is both victim and savior, and only by facing the fall that doomed them both can Hiroshi rewrite their ending on the stairs where love and loss first collided.
The story
Hiroshi’s monotonous existence cracks when the girl appears on the stairs; he begins lingering, photographing her, and neglecting work and friends.

Hiroshi confronts the building’s deadly secret and his role in it, choosing to save the girl by sacrificing his future, granting them both peace on the landing where they first met.

INT. TOKYO APARTMENT STAIRWELL - NIGHT Fluorescent lights hum. Concrete steps wind upward in tight spirals. HIROSHI SATO (34), rumpled suit, messenger bag, climbs slowly, eyes on his phone. He reaches the sixth-floor landing and stops. A YOUNG WOMAN stands motionless against the railing, facing the wall. White blouse, black skirt, bare feet. Her long black hair obscures her face. Hiroshi freezes. Checks his watch. 11:47 p.m. HIROSHI (softly) Excuse me... She does not turn. He steps closer. Her breathing is visible but silent. HIROSHI Are you locked out? No response. He reaches for her shoulder. His hand passes through empty air. She is still there. Hiroshi stumbles back, hits the wall. The lights flicker once. When they stabilize, she is gone. Only the faint scent of rain remains. Hiroshi stares at the empty landing, chest heaving, as the building settles into silence.
