  Elmo, a bright red three-year-old monster plagued by insomnia, wanders the dimly lit brownstone sets of Sesame Street at night, narrating his empty existence in voiceover. Unable to sleep after counting sheep that refuse to cooperate, he encounters Oscar the Grouch, who introduces him to bare-knuckle brawls in abandoned subway tunnels beneath the street. What begins as raw, cathartic fights—Big Bird versus Grover in a flurry of feathers and felt—quickly spreads as Elmo recruits more residents. Cookie Monster becomes his charismatic, anarchic mentor, preaching that true happiness comes from destroying the very lessons they once taught. The club grows: rubber-duck tournaments in the bathtub, letter-of-the-day beatdowns, and "Project Mayhem" raids that replace "sharing" with "shanking." Elmo's cheerful persona fractures as he discovers he has unwittingly created a second, violent identity. When the fights spill into daylight and the Count is hospitalized after a numbers-themed melee, Elmo confronts his creation. In the climax, he attempts to end the club by revealing its absurdity to the entire neighborhood, only for the residents to embrace the fights as their new normal. The film closes on Elmo sitting alone on the stoop at dawn, bloodied but smiling, as the camera pulls back to reveal the Sesame Street sign now spray-painted with "TALK ABOUT IT."
